Skip the Salt...

Skip the Salt: Food Standards Australia and New Zealand aim of 1600 mg of dietary sodium (equivalent to about 4 grams of salt) for adults urges us to skip the salt. FYI: the highest levels of sodium per 100 g are in potato crisps, processed meat and meat products including sausages, meat pies, sausage rolls and chicken nuggets, cheese and pizza. Other high sodium foods include a range of sauces, condiments and bread. FSANZ's analysed values include sodium from salt, naturally occurring sodium and sodium from food additives.
