
Any serious Salt Skipper will know bread is taboo as it is very high in sodium. Here's a recipe with just 3 ingredients, easy to make and with no added salt. Great accompaniment to soups, stews, curries or with toppings.
Ingredients:
450g potatoes, boiled and mashed
150g Chick Pea flour (McKenzies brand available at IGA supermarkets)
55g unsalted butter
Method:
Mix flour and potato, add butter, knead into a dough and roll out about 1cm thick.
Cut into 8 rounds and cook for 10 minutes on a griddle (or frying pan) on top of stove, flipping once.
Tip: Vary the amount of Chick Pea flour to get the right consistency with the mashed potato.
